Up for sale, a Soldano Astroverb 16 boutique tube amp head, near-mint and in perfect working order, complete with a Studio Slips padded cover. An incredible value, this long ago discontinued USA-made boutique all-tube head pushes 20 watts via a pair of EL84 power tubes. Befitting Soldano's reputation for refined high gain circuitry, the Astroverb 16 delivers everything from bluesy grit to hard rock crunch to tight, metal-worthy riffage. The Preamp and Volume controls work in concert to achieve the desired level of drive at volumes friendly to clubs, studios and home use, and the single channel, single input design is simple and intuitive. The onboard Reverb adds additional dimension and splash.

The dual speaker outs are designed for a 16ohm load, and Soldano's original user manual notes that the amp is also designed to run an 8ohm load without issue. The tube complement includes a matched pair of EL84 power tubes and five 12AX7s in the preamp, a few of which are vintage and all selected for their individual tonal properties. The smooth black tolex and black grillcloth show sparingly little wear, and the nickel-plated hardware is equally pristine.
